Kota Lama Semarang (Semarang Old Town) is a historically significant area in the development of Semarang City. Geographically located on the northern coast of Java, Semarang has been a trading port city. Starting in late 1677 to early 1678, the Dutch East India Company (VOC) established its first lodge in Semarang.
