Situs Liyangan
The Liyangan site is located on the northeastern slope of Mount Sindoro. After being buried for a long time, the site was discovered again when it was accidentally discovered by residents who were mining sand in 2008. The site was buried in 9 meters of volcanic material. The first discovery was in the form of a temple foot structure with a rectangular yoni on top. It turned out that the structure was not a single structure. Furthermore, during the research process, many other structures and several artifacts were found. The Liyangan site falls into the classical period or a period where the archipelago was influenced by Hindu and Buddhist culture from India.
