Pancasila Park, formerly Wilhelmina Park, is a public space that reflects Tegal's long historical journey from colonialism to independence. Constructed between 1895 and 1897, it was initially built by the Dutch colonial government to honor Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands, who reigned from 1890 to 1948.
Following Indonesia’s independence, the park was renamed Pancasila Park to symbolize the nation’s transition to freedom. It now features a commemorative monument honoring the people of Tegal for their resistance against colonial rule.
