Dyah Kuncoro Handmade
Dyah Kuncoro Handmade is a creative micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) from Semarang that has been producing contemporary hand-drawn batik and handicrafts since 2009. Founded by Dyah Kumalasari, Dyah Kuncoro's works are known for their unique blend of hand-drawn batik techniques with touches of painting, floral and fauna motifs, local culture, and abstract patterns such as tie-dye and shibori. Her signature motifs are the Keladi Leaf (Taroladium Leaf) and the cecek (galaxy) pattern. With a vision of preserving cultural heritage through a modern approach, Dyah Kuncoro produces limited-edition, multifunctional batik products, ranging from fabrics and ready-to-wear clothing, interior decoration, and souvenirs. This MSME also utilizes waste fabric and dyes to create new products as a form of environmental stewardship. Dyah Kuncoro Handmade has won numerous national awards and was selected as one of the MSMEs in collaboration with UNIQLO Indonesia and at ASEAN-level exhibitions.
