Sarung Goyor Pohon Zaitun
Fahaltex is a Tegal-based MSME that produces distinctive goyor sarongs under the Pohon Zaitun brand. These sarongs are made using a hand-operated wooden non-machine loom (ATBM), creating a soft, flowing texture that is comfortable to wear. The name "goyor" comes from Javanese and means flexible or not stiff, reflecting the characteristics of the resulting fabric. The goyor sarong-making process maintains traditional craftsmanship and involves various stages, from thread selection, dyeing, winding, and weaving. All processes are carried out by skilled hands, preserving local cultural heritage. The motifs featured are diverse and meaningful, such as kembangan, prilikan, and nanasan, which are not only visually beautiful but also convey the philosophy of simplicity and the beauty of life. The quality, unique designs, and authentic weaving techniques make Pohon Zaitun goyor sarongs sought after by both domestic and international markets, particularly in the Middle East and Africa.
