The tomb of Sunan Terboyo is located on Jalan Masjid Terboyo, Semarang. The real name of Sunan Terboyo was R.M. Haji Mohammad Saleh Notodiningrat who also became the Regent of Semarang with the title Kanjeng Raden Tumenggung Surohadimenggolo or Kiai Adipati Surohadimenggolo. He lived from 1771-1834. If we trace his genealogy, Sunan Terboyo is a descendant of Ki Soerodirdjo (Patih in Batang) and Kiai Bustam Kertoboso. Kanjeng Kyai Surohadimenggolo V or Prince Adipati Terboyo whose name is better known as Kanjeng Terboyo, ruled in Semarang from 1802-1821, several years before the Java War broke out.
