Peninggalan Syaikh Mutamakkin

The tomb of Syaikh Mutamakkin is located in Kajen Village, Margoyoso, Kajen District, Pati Regency. He is one of the influential scholars in the archipelago. Every month, around 500 thousand visitors come to the place to make a pilgrimage to the most visited tourist spot in the Pati area. He lived during the reign of Amangkurat IV to Paku Buwono II around the 16th century. As one of the Wali, he preached Islam in Kajen Village until this village became a prominent santri village. From his figure, his students emerged who were also popular, such as Kyai Ronggokusumo in Ngemplak, Kyai Mizan in Margatuhu, and Raden Sholeh. From these students, famous scholars have been produced, such as K.H. Abdullah Salam (Mbah Dullah Salam) and K.H. Mahfudh Salam. Both are the uncle and father of a pious and competent person in religion, namely K.H. Sahal Mahfudh (Mbah Sahal). The descendants of Syaikh Mutamakkin have established 40 Islamic boarding schools in Kajen Village and its surroundings with 8000 students.
