The site of Kraton Pajang is located on Jalan Joko Tingkir, Sonojiwan, Makamhaji, Kartasura, Sukoharjo Regency. This location is the site of the Kraton Pajang, which declined until it finally collapsed, along with the establishment of the Mataram Kingdom. There are not many physical traces visible and indicating the remains of the glory of the Sultan Hadiwijoyo or Joko Tingkir Palace. The latter figure was buried in the Butuh cemetery complex, Sragen in the east of Kartasura.
