The tomb of Sunan Amangkurat I is located in Pakuncen Hamlet, Pasarean Village, Adiwerna District, Tegal Regency. This tomb complex is located in the middle of a fairly densely populated village, but is surrounded by a large and wide wall, typical of the burials of Javanese kings. Sunan Amangkurat I or Sri Susuhunan Amangkurat Agung was the king of the Mataram Sultanate who ruled from 1646-1677. Amangkurat I died on July 13, 1677 in Wanayasa Village, Banyumas and left a will to be buried near his teacher in Tegalarum.
